Last week, we attended the first-ever Verizon Holiday Tech Fashion show at the Verizon Destination Store at Mall of America®. It was an action packed event where Verizon employees modeled more than 50 of the season’s best devices including smartphones, tech wearables and smart accessories! We were in awe of all the gadgets that are available this holiday shopping season – at price points for every budget. Following the show, we took the devices for a spin in the “tech playground.” To help you out with your holiday shopping list, and personal wish list, we have rounded up the best of the best must-have items below.

The tech fashion show ended with a device that is perfect for kids – young and at heart. The Parrot Jumping Sumo drone zig, zags, spins and literally leaps with the swipe of your finger. You control the device from your smartphone or tablet via a downloadable app. The second I saw them demo this product, I knew my son would love this and he isn’t even 6! What is it with boys and remote controlled anything? This is a must-have gift for your tweens – and dad! {Really, 5 and up would love it.}

We think a mophie powerstation is a must for family travel. The mophie is a battery pack that will charge any mobile device, and is a must have for camping trips, car rides, airplanes, waiting rooms, sporting events – everything! I myself really took a liking to this because while I was at the show my battery was low. You never plan that, but it always seems to happen at the worst of times!
