Little Pnuts {Sponsored Post}

Let me preface this by say that we aren’t big toy buyers around our house.  We mostly run on hand-me-downs…and they are so very appreciated by our wonderful family and friends.  New toys are far and few in between.  Once in a while I grab Georgia, my 2.5 year old, a new book that I think she’d love but truly, at this stage of the game, she is completely content with what she has.  So, when a random treat or gift rolls around you would think the giver hung the moon.  It is a BIG deal…and she appreciates it so much, which is my main reason for trying not to constantly give her meaningless, plays-with-it-for-5 minutes-and-is-sick-of-it type toys.  I want her to have things that last.  Things that help her imagination grow.  Things that are safe.  Things that challenge her that she can touch and feel.  Things that are educational.  And most importantly, things that she loves and appreciates.

So, I have to tell you, when I was offered the opportunity to test this product out I was very eager.  I’d heard about the company in passing but never really dug into what it was all about.  All I can say is that it is truly amazing.  Little Pnuts is this fabulous company (ran by parents) that focuses on nothing but educational toys, sustainable toys and safe toys.  You give them your child’s age and gender and they throw together the most wonderful gift box you could possibly imagine and send it to them in the mail.  Thats right, they hand pick the toys for you and I can assure you it is safe to put that job in their hands…the wonderful products they sent us are proof.  You can sign up for an annual subscription so your child is surprised quarterly with a box of new treats and they are all tailored to the season.  And what an amazing concept for a gift, right?!

The minute we opened the door and saw the package sitting there Georgia’s excitement began.  I didn’t warn her or tell her it was coming.  We opened the door, saw a small box with her name on it and we went from there.  She opened it up and I tell you what, just plain Christmas in July, folks.  She gleamed.  And I’m pretty sure I was equally as excited.  The toys are perfect.  Perfect for her to play on her own, perfect for me to join her when I have time.  The educational value in these toys is what really gets me.  Not only are they cute and brightly colored, they have a purpose.  They challenge Georgia, while still keeping it fun and interesting.  I also really appreciate the fact that these are not things she will play once or twice and lose interest.  They are challenging enough to keep her coming back while still completely age appropriate.  And one of the coolest things about this company, they don’t offer battery operated toys.  HIGH FIVES, MAMAS!  Headache free toys!
