Princess Mary Brynn
You never know about them.
How they’ll act at any given moment.
Depends on which way the wind blows.
She was so excited that Nana was coming over to take
pictures of the princess dress she’d made.
Her mom even put Lips on her.
But when Nana came to the door the wind shifted and
NO! I don’t want my picture taken!
And so, like chasing the wind, I got a few candid shots.
Before I show them to you, I’ll begin with the tutorial.
Tutorial on How to Make an Easy Princess Dress
I was making a princess dress for Mary’s third birthday,
and hadn’t thought of a tutorial until it was finished.
But it’s so easy, that I can explain it in a few steps.
Knit top from Target.
Cut of approximately 4 to 5 inches below arm holes.
Twelve yards of tulle from a discount store, cut
in lengths and gathered at the top.
(I’m not sure I used all twelve yards. Make it as full as you want)
I used pink and white, the white being rather stiff and the pink softer.
The top I purchased was a size 4, even though Mary would wear a size 3.
That way it’s big enough for her to put on and take off herself.
I didn’t attempt to finish the gathered edge in any way.
I just sewed it on and that was it.
The possibilities for embellishment are endless.
I didn’t do more since my time was limited, but you can use your
creativity any way you want.
