Ideas For Those Last Minute Halloween Parties

0

Halloween is quickly approaching, with only DAYS remaining! DAYS!! And guaranteed there will be some sort of last minute party your child is invited to, or that you are arm-twisted into helping prepare for. What cute Halloween-themed treats will you take?! Because obviously it has to be THE cutest! Haven’t got the slightest clue?

Well, take a peeksy into our little “Pumpkin Decorating Party” for some cute ideas.

We made it a “decorating” party {and not a “carving” party} for a reason! Because seriously, who in their right-filled {busy} mind has time for all those gooey guts?! Not us! Smart, huh?! Although, I commend those who dare throw a pumpkin carving party,… because I like me a good pumpkin carving party! Gooey fun, and no clean up?! Yes, please! Ingredients Needed:

Mandarin Cups
Sharpie

These are pretty self-explanatory. And the possibilities are endless. Have a ball with this one! I sure did! And I even started on these while we were at my son’s baseball practice. Talk about versatile! And multi-tasking! I did feel like super-mom for a bit!

Mummy Dogs

Ingredients Needed:

Hot Dog Franks
Crescents
Mustard *optional

Unroll crescents {straight out of the can} as a whole. Use a pizza cutter {or knife} to cut into thin strips. Then wrap strips around hot dog franks. Bake as instructed on crescent can.
**For added cuteness, give your Mummy Dogs eyes by adding 2 dots of mustard!
**FYI: drying hot dog franks off a bit with a napkin before wrapping with crescent helps the crescent stick better.

Cheese Stick Ghosts

Ingredients Needed:

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
Sharpie

This one is oh-so easy! And self-explanatory, as well.
**Although, I must add that I continuously found myself having to write on a piece of paper with my sharpie, after a few cheese sticks, to get it writing properly again – just a little FYI!

Mini Marshmallows
Slivered Almonds

First, cut the cookies in half {perfection not necessary!}. Then, spread frosting on each piece. Next, add marshmallows along the edge of one of the cookie pieces. After that, place the other cookie piece atop the marshmallows. And for that Dracula effect, stick the slivered almonds into the frosting of the top cookie. And voila!

Celeste
Call me snickelfritz! ...German, for “rowdy child”. It was a nickname given to me at the tender age of 11 by an old friend of the family; he swore it was a term of endearment! 19 years later, and the term still fits. And quite well, I might add! I’m your typical serving of of rowdy,…with a shot of social grace, and a dash of compassion – all on one plate! A mommy to an ever-growing 7 year old and fiance to a phenomenal man, I am happily lost in this beautiful bliss of chaos called life. I live for… …chaotic mornings and bedtimes with my sweet sweet baby boy! (he’s not a baby anymore; I know. but he is MY baby!) …blissful disagreements with my imperfectly perfect fiancee (oh yeah, I’m engaged. AHH!) …and days full of silliness on the job with my most favorite siblings (my only siblings! hEE hEE)! With my brother at JD’s Farm and Ranch and with my sister at Then Comes Paper.
