AHHH, the holidays have been good to you and your tastebuds! Yummy food and delicious sweets that only come once a year and are hard to pass up.  But it’s the day after Christmas and the New Year is on the horizon…time for a recovery smoothie to ease your stomach and detoxify your body.  Today I am sharing with you my go-to recovery smoothie.

This winning combination eases nausea, improves digestion, flushes out toxins and promotes healthy (and essential) digestive tract bacteria.  Oh and did I mention it tastes great? My girls can’t get enough of it!

Orange Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients:

2 small Oranges (peeled)

1 ripe Banana (peeled)

1 small Apple (cored and sliced)

1 tsp Fresh Ginger (peeled)

1/2 cup Kefir (use coconut milk Kefir for dairy-free)

1/2 cup Ice

Blend all of the ingredients together until creamy and frothy. Enjoy! Store leftovers in the freezer of refrigerator.  Makes 3-4 small smoothies.  This smoothie is the perfect way to start a day or ease a tummy after a long day.
