Cedar Rapids: October 31st, no specific time.

Coralville: October 31st from 5:30-8:00 p.m.

Iowa City: October 31st from dusk-8:00 p.m.

Kalona: October 30th from dusk-7 p.m. *Takes place the night before Halloween

Lisbon: October 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Mt. Vernon: October 31st from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

North Liberty: October 31st from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Solon: October 31st from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Tiffin: October 31st from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Washington: October 31st from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Here are our Top 5 Picks of other events going on this weekend…

Friday, October 31st

Tot Monster Mash, 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Scanlon Gymnasium. This event offers a fun and safe way to celebrate the holiday, with play time on the inflatables and tot toys, story time, carnival games, and other activities. Registration is not required. Children in costume get in for free.

Family Free Friday at the Coral Ridge Mall from 5:00-8:00 p.m.  Includes free carousel rides, free admission to the Iowa Children’s Museum, and free kid’s meal with purchase of adult combo meal at many food court restaurants. The Iowa Children’s Museum will be featuring hands-on candy chemistry demonstrations and activities. *There will be NO trick-or-treating offered in the mall.

Saturday, November 1st

The Fossil Guy: “Twilight of the Dinosaur Age,2:00 p.m. @ Macbride Auditorium. All “Fossil Guy” programs are free and open to the public, and include 30-minute talks with audience participation followed by 30-minutes of hands-on interaction with Don’s extensive fossil and replica collection. Presentations are geared toward elementary-age children and their families.

Sunday, November 2nd

Sunday Funday Family Bingo, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids. (Bingo starts at 12:30) Come out and enjoy a fun day of bingo!! We will have a bounce house, crafts, giveaways, shopping and BINGO! Vendors to shop from and bingo for all!! Every bingo player gets a free dobber! Kids Zone (bounce house, face painting for a small fee, crafts, balloons) will be open from 11am-2pm and first ball drops at 12:30 for bingo! Free admission, pay to play bingo. Price ranges, packages start at $6. Wide variety of concessions will also be available.

Jack Splat, 1:00 p.m. at The Iowa Children’s Museum. Don’t toss your Jack-O-Lanterns in the garbage – let us toss them from the CityWorks Balcony for a great SPLAT instead! Join us for Jack SPLAT! and give your carved creations one last hurrah for the Halloween season. Bring your carved pumpkin to the museum beginning at 11 AM; pumpkin sky-diving begins at 1 PM. Wave at your pumpkin as it falls and cheer for the big SPLATs!
