bloom sidebarHave we mentioned how excited we are for our upcoming New & Expecting Mom’s Event?!

For those who have already purchased your tickets, we wanted to take the opportunity to answer a few questions you may have.

If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you can still do so here!

Full event details and our sponsor lineup can be found on our Events page. We have a huge list of amazing community resources and giveaways included in our jam-packed two-hour event!

Who is Invited?

This community event is for expecting moms, new moms, and any moms needing a fun morning out!

All are welcome, so please share this exciting event with your friends. While the educational information and resources are geared toward new and expecting moms, moms of ANY season of life will benefit from the information, giveaways, connections, and swag bags!

When and Where

Bloom will be held Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to noon at Valley Community Center in West Des Moines. Doors open at 9:50 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. It ends at noon.

Location and Parking

Valley Community Center is located at 4444 Fuller Road, West Des Moines. See a map here. Please be sure to print out your ticket confirmation (or bring your phone confirmation) in order to park in the main parking lot.

What’s Included in the $15 Admission Fee?

Your ticket gets you a fun morning out. Time to meet other moms. Access to community experts. Tremendous resources. Lunch. Entry into over 25 giveaways. A short massage if you’d like one. And last but not least, a swag bag filled with awesome goodies from local businesses.

Will Food Be Served?

Yes. We are honored to have Chick-fil-A catering this event for us, so come hungry! We will have a grilled chicken salad and fruit, and delicious cookies from Three Chicks Bakery.

Can I Bring My Baby?

Yes, of course. Babies are welcome. There will not be a designated area for babies and/or nursing where the event is held, but we are all moms! There are several areas throughout the facility you could use for privacy, specifically, the kids play place next to the Maplenol Cafe.

What Should I Bring with Me?

Besides your bestie, don’t forget to print your ticket confirmation on paper or on your phone. Bring your appetite, your questions for our panel members, and your notebook and pen to jot down notes during the Q&A.

Help Us Give Back:

younglives logoWe would love for you to bring a few items to donate to YoungLives to help us bless the new moms in our community. We are collecting diapers, wipes, children’s books, gift cards, spray sanitizer, and more. The suggested list of items can be found here.

So, don’t bring much, but be prepared to leave with your hands full of goodies, as we have a ton of giveaways and great swag bags filled with all kinds of amazing things from our generous local businesses!

What Should I Wear?

This event will be casual, so come as you are!

Should I Bring Cash?

There will be a few resource tables with products available if you are interested, but this is an educational event and our vendor tables are free community resources for you, not your usual vendor tables with products to buy. Massage therapists will also be on hand to treat you to a relaxing massage. Those are also free, but tips are certainly appreciated.

We can’t wait to see you Saturday!!
