Cheap Mom Finds Hidden Boutique in Walmart

1

Ok folks, I have a confession: I’m cheap.

Well for those of y’all who know me, that’s not much of a confession, that’s a given. So, I can go a step further and share a little secret: I’ve been buying kids clothes at Walmart.

Okay, so maybe not these clothes. . .
Okay, so maybe not these clothes. . .

This too may not be a huge shocker for many of you unless you know me. I am NOT a Walmart fan. Maybe the “People of Walmart” websites have planted a bad seed in my head, or maybe it’s the huge lines that seem to happen EVERY. SINGLE. HOUR. of the day. It’s safe to say, Walmart has never been at the top of my list. Well, until now.

You see, I discovered something a few months back and have been keeping this secret to myself. It all began on a normal Sunday morning, the family being forced into Walmart so my husband could find something for the house. I quickly lost interest, and wandered off to the toddler girl section and began to dig around. To my surprise I discovered two racks filled with super cute dresses for around $5 each. These dresses were less than half the price of Target (my personal Heaven) and a few even looked like boutique finds. I was hooked.photo

Now, I’ll reiterate that I go in and dig to find these pieces. They are there and they are cheap. (In fact, I saw some today that were on clearance for $3!)

I’m more than happy with how these items look, however you can take them up a notch by adding a monogram. Instead of special ordering a $50 personalized outfit, go grab something cheap (and adorable) and have a tailor or family member add your child’s name or initials. Then decide whether or not you tell them the truth when they exclaim, “Oh my gosh that outfit is so cute! Where’d ya get it?”
