7 Date Night Ideas Around Dallas You Might Be Missing Out On

Date night in Dallas date ideasSince my youngest baby is now a little over two months old, it’s time for my husband and I to start getting back in to our routine of having a regular date night. After waiting on our kids hand and foot every. single. day, we need to get out and do something for ourselves, with a quickness.

Maybe you’re like me or maybe you already have a regular date night but you need some new ideas. Whatever your situation is, I’ve got 7 date night ideas around Dallas you might be missing out on.

1. Top Golf

Krystal posted about her date night at Top Golf with her husband at the Dallas location on Park Lane. There is also another location located in Allen off of 75 and Stacy Road. The sports lover in me loves this type of atmosphere but you do NOT have to be a golfer to have a good time. You can eat and drink, all while competing with your date for the highest points.

2. Late Nights at the Dallas Museum of Art

On the third Friday of every month, The Dallas Museum of Art is open until midnight. The Late Night offers their visitors performances, concerts, readings, film screenings, tours, and more. There’s something for every age, but it’s a great place to get away with your special someone for some adult time.

3. Improv Comedy Club in Addison

After a crazy week at work, followed by rushing home to take care of kids and the house, who couldn’t use a night of laughter at The Improv in Addison? There are two showtimes to pick from on Friday and Saturday nights. With a full menu of food to pick from, you can’t go wrong. After the show, or even before, head across the hall to Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar for more entertainment! If you’re looking for something more low key for dinner, The Melting Pot is a common favorite and is located just across the parking lot.

4. Shops at Legacy

Before the weather cools down too much, the Shops at Legacy (in Plano) offers several places to enjoy a patio dinner. You might recall the Shops at Legacy if you read about or even attended our most recent Mom’s Night Out. This area offers several bars and restaurants, including the Angelika to catch a movie with your loved one.

5. iPic Theaters

Sherry posted last year about her date night experience at iPic Theaters in Fairview and just reading the post made me want to catch the next great flick with my husband in those super comfy chairs. You can eat your food while watching the movie and by paying a little extra for your ticket, you can reserve the super plush seats with a provided pillow and blanket. Sounds amazing, right?? You can even grab a drink before or after the movie in their bar.

6. Meddlesome Moth

Looking for something closer to downtown Dallas? Meddlesome Moth is located in the Dallas Design District and offers a full menu, as well as 40 beers on tap and another 80 in bottles. There are even gluten free options! The menu options each offer the style of beer best suited for that particular food choice. The atmosphere is fun for couples looking to unwind and you know it’s a great place when D Magazine named it among the Best New Restaurants in Dallas in 2010.

7. Go Mavs!

Grab a couple of tickets to a Mavs game and enjoy a night at The American Airlines Center in Victory Park. After the game, head on over to the WFAA Channel 8 news studio and you just might end up on TV during the newscast. It’s happened to me! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Your description of iPlush Theaters reminded me of the Inwood Theatre on Inwood and Lovers in Dallas. It’s got a super cool bar, the main theater is huge with bean bags and fun couches to lay in. And the theater is said to be haunted! They have awesome retro-midnight showings on the weekends. We haven’t been in ages, but it used to be one of our favorite places for date nights!
I can’t wait to try iPlush Theaters though, I keep hearing great things about it!! Great list!
