It’s been a LONG while since we’ve featured Austin Moms Blog’s Worth it Wednesday. But, we’re baaaaaaack!

And today we are talking Baby Swings!

Worth it Wednesday on Baby Swings, Austin Moms Blog

One of the first things I added to my registry list as a pregnant soon-to-be mom was a baby swing. It seemed like the perfect spot to be able to put the baby when he wasn’t in my arms to hopefully be swung to sleep. And honestly, they CAN do exactly that.

Here are some things to consider when choosing a swing:

  • Most swings retail for over $100 {some are nearly $300!!!!}
  • Your baby usually becomes mobile {crawling/sitting up} around 6 months
  • Some babies HATE the swing from Day 1
  • Most babies don’t like a swing after they are mobile
  • 6 months goes by FAST!
  • Lots of parents are looking to sell their barely used baby swings through Craigslist and neighborhood swaps on Facebook

So in conclusion, are baby swings worth it? Totally. But if there was ONE thing that I would recommend buying used, it would be a baby swing. I don’t care if you love the mamaroo or a Graco swing, there is someone out there selling one. Save your money on a baby swing… you will be packing it up for the attic before you know it!

How long did you use the baby swing?
