Invitations

An invitation sets the whole personality of the party – let your guests know what to expect with one that sets the tone about 4 weeks out.

Go Local:

You’re Invited Fine Stationery : Don’t let the name fool you – the ladies at You’re Invited are some of the warmest bunch of paper ladies I’ve ever met. From gorge full service invitations to the cutest selection of print-at-home invitations they can help you stay on budget and in-theme.

Moon Mippy: With two locations in town, they’ve got you covered from planning to party!

Online:

Minted: With dozens of ideas from indie designers all over the world, Minted is a veritable one stop shop for birthday party invitations. Stuck on a theme? Troll through their extensive birthday selections and you just might find one that is perfect. (They also have a sublime  coordinating party decor!)

Simple, coordinated, or all out complicated – the decorations make the atmosphere and transform a ho-hum space into something memorable and fabulous.

Go Local:

Amols: Since 1949 Amols has been providing the Alamo City with just about every kind of party decoration you can imagine! Although best known for their Fiesta party decorations they’ve got some of everything. If they don’t have it they can tell you where to get it!

Travis Wholesale Florist: Flowers? At a kids party? Yes and no! Travis is a mecca for all those other things you might need but can’t find at a regular craft store. It is a DIY’ers dream space – and bonus, it smells SO good in there!

Online:

Birthday Express: Want it? They’ve probably got it! From Frozen to Mustaches to Monkeys, they’ve got a lot and just about anything you could imagine. It’s a one-stop-shop party decor place!

Beau Coup: Trendy, fresh, and beautiful decorations fill the pages of this site. Look here for decorations you’ve spotted on Pinterest and on your favorite party blogs![hr]

Supplies

The workhorses of the party shouldn’t be left out! Give just as much though to your paper pieces, serving containers and the little details as you did to the big things to bring the whole party on home.

Go Local:

You can find great party ware at many of the local places above – but I have to be honest, my favorite brink and mortar party supply (cups, plates, napkins, etc) spot is good ‘ol Target! A close second is scouring TJMaxx, Marshalls and Home Goods for current coordinating trends.

Online:

The TomKat Studio: Cute wooden utensils, perfectly coordinated paper pieces and the little details that will pull it all together. (Also has precious printables for a DIY celebration!)

Shop Sweet Lulu: Adorable coordinating pieces that can tone down a themed party (the character doesn’t HAVE to cover every surface!) or pump up the volume on a plain Jane fete. Busy mommas who appreciate a custom or handmade touch will love the special order items. (They also carry a line of eco-friendly party products!)
