Simple Summer Recipe: Amazingly Delicious Fruit Dip

1-IMG_0406

When the heat is on in South Texas the last thing you want to eat is something hot and greasy. This is the time of year that demands ice-cold lemonade and fresh fruit. My recipe today is for a delicious fruit dip. I’m not promising a low-calorie count, but I make up for it with all the calcium! I serve this with fruit skewers, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love food on a stick? If you’re serving this to kids, use a candy stick instead of a bamboo skewer … safety first!!

Delicious Fruit Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. Sour cream
  • 1 c. Yogurt (I used orange vanilla)
  • 4 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Orange Juice
  • 2 c. Whipped Cream

Instructions:

  1. Mix yogurt and sour cream.
  2. Add brown sugar and orange juice and mix in.
  3. Fold in whipped cream and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Serve with fruit.
  5. Enjoy!
